NELSPRUIT – The police in Mpumalanga have launched a manhunt for suspects after a man was brutally killed. Police are requesting the public to assist with tangible information about a gruesome act that occurred at Mashonamini Trust near Bushbuckridge.
According to information, on 06 January 2020 Mr John Sibuyi, aged 52, was allegedly kidnapped in his vehicle which was later found burned in the bushes with Sibuyi lying not far from it, having sustained serious burnt wounds.
Further reports suggest that Sibuyi managed to inform the person who discovered him that his vehicle was set alight while he was locked inside and after the suspect(s) left, he managed to break a window and crawled for his safety.
Police and paramedics were summoned to the scene and Sibuyi was taken to a local hospital but due to the seriousness of his injuries, he was transferred to Gauteng however on 09 January 2020, Sibuyi passed away.
