A teenager was killed following a dispute with his drinking buddy in Mhlasini, Everest Heights this morning (Saturday).
At approximately 04:43 the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Verulam Operations Center received a call from a resident in the area reporting the discovery. On arrival Medics found the 19 year old lying in a stream. He sustained multiple stab wounds and died at the scene.
According to residents and argument broke out between the deceased and a man he was consuming alcohol with when he was attacked. The suspect resides in the area but fled following the murder.
Police are investigating further.
