Friends shot in an unprovoked attack in the Canelands – KZN

Two friends were shot in an unprovoked attack while walking home from work in Canelands – Verulam.

Members of Reaction Unit, South Africa (RUSA) arrived at a residence near Thunder Town on Vincent Dickinson Road where one of the victims sought assistance.

It was established that three friends were walking home to Hilltop near the Canelands Library when they realized that they were being followed by three men. Without warning one of the men fired four shots at them.

The victims fled in different directions. RUSA Medics treated a 37-year-old man for a gunshot injury to his finger before transporting him to the hospital where his friend was being treated for two gunshot wounds to his arm. The second victim was transported privately to the hospital.
