Minister Mbalula speaks on bill amendments to regulate e-hailing

The Minister of Transport, Mr Fikile Mbalula will tomorrow address the public on the National Land Transport (NLT) Act-2009 bill amendments that will be submitted to the National Assembly in Parliament for consideration.
The fundamental amendments seek to provide for electronic e-haling services regulation. The Bill also seeks to empower provinces to undertake new contracts which were absent in the principle act.

The Act, in operation, since December 2009 was enacted to further the process of transformation and restructuring of the national land transport system initiated by the National Land Transport Transition Act, 2000.
