Motorcyclist evacuated after collision at intersection in Fish Hoek

At 8:30AM yesterday morning, Cape Medical Response paramedics were dispatched to the corner of Sunray Road and Fish Hoek Main Road where a motorbike had been involved in a collision with a motor vehicle.

On scene, CMR medics had two patients. A female adult who was riding the motorbike was found to be in a serious condition. Inside the motor vehicle, a male adult was found to be also injured.

The male patient was extricated from the vehicle and was transported by Metro Ambulance to a Cape Town hospital. The female motorcyclist was treated and transported by the Air Mercy Service (AMS) SkyMed1 helicopter in a critical condition to a Cape Town hospital for urgent further medical care.

The services on scene were Cape Medical Response, Metro Ambulance Services, Air Mercy Service, Fire & Rescue and City of Cape Town Traffic Services.
