The diligent efforts of Aliwal North SAPS members in persuading their mission to eradicate illicit drugs from our society bears fruits.
On Thursday, 19 March 2020 at about 11:00, members acted swiftly on information which led to arrest of a 32-year-old suspect for possession of drugs.
It is alleged that a large quantity of 325 mandrax tablets was found hidden under the bed at the suspect’s place of residence.
The suspect was arrested immediately and will appear waiting in the Aliwal North District Court soon.
The Aliwal North Cluster Commander, Col Chris Wright commended the quick reaction of the members and the apprehension of the suspect. “Confiscation of any drugs from our communities is a positive step for us,” said Col Wright.
