The Commission of Inquiry into taxi violence continues on 02 March 2020

The public hearings of the Commission of Inquiry into Taxi Violence in the Gauteng province will continue on Monday, 02 March 2020 at 10:00.

The Commission will hear testimony from widows of Taxi Violence, Mrs Swatlhedi, Peteke and Phatlhane,
on Monday, 02 March 2020 at 10:00.

Mrs Swatlhedi, Peteke and Phatlhane’s testimonies will include, but not be limited to:
– Principles and rules their husbands, as taxi operators, stood by to stick to their allocated routes; and
– Internal taxi politics over permits and routes.

The legal team is in the process of identifying and/or consulting with other witnesses who will appear
before the Commission over the next few weeks.
