Two men arrested for business robbery by Mothibistad SAPS

On Thursday, 26 March 2020 at about 18:00, two men aged 23 and 25 were arrested by Mothibistad SAPS members for business robbery.

It is alleged that at 09:20 the very same day a business robbery case was reported at Mothibistad SAPS were by a 25-year-old man, a tuck shop owner from Cardington village outside Mothibistad was robbed by four unknown men at gunpoint.

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken as well as items such as airtime, milk, shoes, cigarettes, etc. All items taken amount to R14 000-00.

Later on, a white Citi Golf car was found abandoned along the road between Churchill and Cardington. The vehicle was allegedly used during the robbery. The owner of the car who is one of the suspects came together with the other one to report that he was hijacked.

After the police investigation the two were linked to the business robbery and were immediately arrested. The car was also confiscated. The police are still looking for the other two suspects who are still on the run.

The two suspects will appear before the Mothibistad magistrate court soon.
