The vigilance and swift response of Mitchells Plain members landed four suspects behind bars late last night for being in possession of unlicensed firearms.
The members were busy with crime prevention duties when they received information that suspects in a residence in Clairwood Street in Beacon Valley are armed. They conducted a search operation at the residence and confiscated a 9mm pistol, a revolver and 7 rounds of ammunition.
The four suspects aged between 35 and 50 were arrested and are expected to make their court appearances in Mitchells Plain tomorrow to face the charges against them.
