Kathu crime prevention arrest suspects for possession of suspected stolen property

On Tuesday, 7 April 2020 Kathu SAPS Crime Prevention members arrested two suspects aged 30 and 35 years old for being in possession of suspected stolen property at about 09:00 in Siyathemba in Kathu.

Information was received from a member of the public which the three officials followed up and went to an identified house in Siyathemba where the stolen property was hidden.

Upon investigation and searching of the house, the members discovered a diamond razor mesh fence to the value of R25000-00. After failing to give an explanation to the officials as to where they got the fence, the two suspects were arrested.

They will appear the Kathu Magistrate court soon for being in possession of the suspected stolen property.

The Cluster Commander of JTG, Major General Johan Bean commended Sgt Eiman, Constables Jantjies and Canchibato for their zero tolerance approach when it comes to fighting crime.
