The efforts of the SAPS in enforcing the Lockdown Regulations is paying off as members yesterday, 05 May 2020 destroyed 700 litres of home-brewed concoction in Number 2 in Galeshewe.
Members visited a house in Galeshewe where the owner was alleged to be brewing and selling the concoction to the community.
The members conducting COVID 19 duties arrested the 68-year-old male owner and charged him for dealing in concoctions in terms of sec 4(2) read with Section 46(a)& sec 48(1) of Northern Cape Liquor Act 2 of 2008.
The police will continue relentlessly to enforce level 4 of the Regulations of the Disaster Management Act Regulations in the province.
