Joint operation in Pampierstad nets drug successes

A joint operation executed today at 07:00 by Jan Kempdorp Crime Intelligence, Kimberley K9, and Hartswater K9 units resulted in two suspects being arrested in separate incidents and drugs being confiscated.

During the first incident, the team operationalised information received regarding the sale of drugs at a house in Sakhile in Pampierstad. Upon searching the house they discovered 240 mandrax tablets and crushed mandrax powder as well as R680-00 in cash believed to be the proceeds of the sale of the drugs and arrested a 42-year-old male. The street value of the drugs is estimated at R14 400-00.

A second suspect aged 36-year-old was arrested at second premises also in Sakhile. The police seized 85 mandrax tablets and crushed mandrax powder with an estimated street value of R5 870-00 as well as cash amounting to R1 380-00.

Both suspects were arrested and charged with dealing in drugs. They will soon appear in the Pampierstad local court.

The Provincial managers of Group D, Brig Nicky Mills, Brig Bossie Jacobs and Brig Mojapela Moreki commended the members for their continued persistence in removing drugs from the streets and bringing drug dealers to book.
