Residents on Buckhurst Place – Brindhaven apprehended a male suspect after he gained entry onto a property and attempted to steal valuables.
Reaction Unit South Africa responded to the call at approx 05:37. The suspect is believed to be responsible for a spate of thefts in the Brindhaven area during Lockdown. The resident have complained of theft of lights, gas cylinders, braai stands, wheelbarrows, and bicycles in recent weeks.
The Waterloo resident informed Reaction Officers that the items stolen were usually sold at the Durban Taxi rank.
