A man sustained minor injuries after he was stabbed during a robbery on Wick Street in Verulam CBD earlier today (Thursday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to a pharmacy where the victim is employed. On arrival, it was established that he was on his way to a hardware store in the Verulam CBD when he was confronted by five suspects.
The robbers demanded his valuables when the victim handed over a Huawei P8 cellphone and his wallet. One of the suspects stabbed him on the leg before they fled. The victim returned to his workplace and informed his colleagues of the incident. They then contact RUSA for assistance.
A search for the gang was conducted however no arrests were made.
