Several people reported missing

LIMPOPO

LIMPOPO – The South African Police Service in Mokopane requires public assistance to locate a 26-year-old man, Hlaphane David Motimele from Makapans Valley outside Mokopane who allegedly went missing on 19 May 2020.

Reportedly, David left his home to a nearby mountain to harvest grass and has not returned back.

Attempts to locate the victim at the mountain, relatives and friends were unsuccessful.

It is further alleged that David left home with his cellphone which he does not respond to when he is being called.

He was last seen wearing a long black partly torn trouser, white jersey and T-shirt with maroon colours when he left home.

The search operations and police investigations are still continuing.

LIMPOPO – The South African Police Service in Hlanganani outside Giyani has launched a search operation for a missing teenage boy, Mfungho Crefio Makhubela aged 17, from Rotterdam village who was allegedly last seen by his grandmother at their home on the 17 May 2020 at about 22:00.

He reportedly left home without informing anyone where he was going and has since disappeared.

The search operation was conducted at relatives, friends and the surrounding areas without success.

The type of clothes he was wearing at the time of his disappearance is unknown.

The police investigations and the search operation are still continuing.

KWAZULU-NATAL

KWAZULU-NATAL – Detectives from the Empangeni Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) are seeking assistance from members of the community regarding a missing person, Owethu Khumalo (16) of Aquadene in Richards Bay. Her family last saw her on 05 May 2020. Her whereabouts are unknown. She has relatives in Johannesburg but they have also not seen her.

Anyone with information that can assist police to find her is requested to contact the investigating officer, Detective Constable Mchunu 082 555 4209 / 035 901 9600, or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.

KWAZULU-NATAL – Wentworth police are appealing for assistance to locate the relatives of Patrick Jokwa (34). He was found along the N2 Freeway northbound in Jacobs during October 2019. It is presumed that an unknown vehicle struck him. He was wearing an orange Transnet jacket when he was found. An inquest is being investigated by Wentworth police station.
