On R33 Vaalwater road next to Weesgerus resort just outside Modimolle a Ford ldv was towed by a Colt ldv.
The towing rope broke and the towed Ford crashed head-on with a Toyota ldv.
1 Passenger died on the scene and the 3 drivers sustained light injuries.
