Two men were left seriously injured this morning following a shooting incident on the N1 highway near the Maraisburg offramp in Maraisburg.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene with the local authorities at approximately 05h42 to find a vehicle in the middle of the highway. One man was found with numerous, serious injuries while a second man was found further up near the offramp.
Medics assessed the man and found that they had sustained numerous injuries and were in a serious condition.
The patients were treated for their injuries and provided with pain-relief medication before they were transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
