Firearm stolen during a house break-in in Phoenix – KZN

A safe containing a CZ 75 handgun was among several items stolen during a house break-in at a home in Eastbury, Phoenix.

The homeowner contacted the Reaction Unit, South Africa, at 10:36 after he discovered that his front door was broken. On inspection, it was found that two Samsung televisions, as well as a safe containing the handgun with 10 rounds of ammunition, were stolen. The entire house was ransacked. A witness reported seeing two men exiting the house and leaving the scene in a white bakkie. The make and model of the vehicle are unknown.

Reaction Officers circulated the vehicle information to other response vehicles in the area however the suspects were not located.
