Man convicted to 20 years imprisonment for murder in Richmond

NORTHERN CAPE – The police welcome the 20-year direct imprisonment that was handed over to a 47-year-old Richmond male, on 15 July 2020.

On 23 September 2017 the deceased Mr. Zamile Hlela (40) and the accused Mr. Fuzile Kini (47) were involved in an argument. The accused took out a knife and stabbed Hlela once in the chest. He was rushed to a hospital and later passed on. The accused was arrested the following day and later received R1000-00 bail. The accused was sentenced on 15 July 2020 in the Richmond Regional Court.

The Cluster Commander for Pixley Ka Seme, Brigadier Nomana Adonis commended the Investigating Officer, Detective Constable Headman Nogqala for a job well done.
