A grade 12 student from Glenhaven Secondary School was assaulted and robbed by three suspects on Jacaranda Avenue – Mt View.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to the call for assistance. According to the victim he was held at knifepoint, punched repeatedly, and robbed of a Mobicell phone by the suspects who appeared drug intoxicated. They then fled on foot towards the Brindhaven area.
RUSA Officers have attended to approx seventeen common robberies in the Verulam Cbd and the surrounding area this week. In all cases, the suspects were armed with knives and several victims were stabbed.
Four suspects were arrested & detained by Reaction Officers, however, the robberies continue to escalate.
