Swift response by an off-duty saps officer led to the arrest of two business robbery suspects in Mfuleni

In order to ensure that offenders are brought to book, an off-duty police officer reacted swiftly after a business robbery at a superette in Brackenfell on Saturday morning and help with the arrest of these suspects in Mfuleni.

The police officer from Brackenfell SAPS, saw the suspects fled in white Toyota Camry. He followed the vehicle and communicated the details of suspects with members of Maitland Flying Squad who was in the vicinity.

The vehicle was recovered at Bosassa temporal structures, Mfuleni, and two suspects, aged 29 and 39 were arrested. The members also seized a firearm, one magazine and 15 rounds of ammunition. The suspects were detained on a case of possession of unlicensed fire arm and ammunition and business robbery.

The Toyota Camry used in the crime was fitted with cloned registration numbers. The suspects will appear in the Blue Downs Magistrates Court on Monday on the mentioned charges.
