Two males aged 50 and 59, were arrested on yesterday (Tuesday, 2020-07-07) at about 14:00 by vigilant members attached to Malmesbury Crime Prevention Unit.
The members were busy with high density patrols in the Chatsworth, Silvertown area when they spotted a vehicle with two occupants driving recklessly. They stopped the vehicle and upon searching it they found two packets containing 2049 mandrax tablets worth an estimated street value of R60 000.
The two suspects were arrested and appeared in the Malmesbury Magistrates’ Court on charges of dealing in drugs.
