Police from Kraaifontein SAPS were conducting crime prevention duties yesterday 06 August 2020 when they received information about a male suspect driving a white Toyota Hilux in Belmont Park, Kraaifontein with an unlicensed firearm. The members pulled over the vehicle in Old Paarl Road, Eikendal and after approaching the suspect they noticed the firearm between his legs. A 9mm pistol and several rounds of ammunition were recovered.
The suspect, a 30-year-old male, was arrested and is expected to appear in the Blue Downs Regional Court Tuesday, 11 August 2020.
