A man escaped injury this afternoon when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to roll off the N1 south-bound highway after the William Nicol offramp in Bryanston.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find the taxi upright in the garden of a residence. The driver was found walking around on the scene.
It is understood that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and hit an embankment, before becoming airborne for roughly 50 metres when it came to rest in the garden.
Medics assessed the man and found that he had escaped injury.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
