The body of a man was discovered in a bush by residents of Station Park on Vincent Dickinson Road in Canelands.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call of the finding. On arrival, the Verulam SAPS were in attendance. Medics were led to a bush behind a cluster of houses where the man’s body was found wrapped in a grey blanket.
According to residents, the deceased was known to them and lived in an informal dwelling behind their homes. He was seen walking around the area earlier in the day asking residents for food. He complained of being unwell and had his blanket wrapped around him due to him feeling cold.
The man is suspected to have died of natural causes. This has not been confirmed.
