Pair arrested for possession of dagga worth an estimated R30 000

EASTERN CAPE – Two men aged 24 and 34 were arrested and charged for possession and dealing in dagga at a roadblock on the R61 near Misty Mount today at about 01h30. The pair were arrested after their vehicle was searched and dagga weighing 30.7kg with the street value of R30 700 was confiscated. They will appear before Libode Magistrate Court tomorrow.

Lastly, a 35-year-old man was arrested by Mthatha Vispol members after he was found in possession of 143 dagga sachets and a cash amount of R2010 at Mandela Park in Mthatha today at about 11h45. He will appear before Mthatha Magistrate Court tomorrow facing charges of possession and dealing in dagga.
