Shortly after 11:15 Life Response paramedics were dispatched to
Uxamu road in the Ntuzuma area for a serious motor vehicle accident.
On arrival paramedics found a single vehicle that had careened off the road and came to rest down an embankment.
Paramedics found three occupants in the vehicle. One of the occupants a male approximately 25 years old passed away prior to the arrival of the crews.
The two other males were in a critical condition and Ethekweni fire department had to use the jaws of life to free the two men.
Life Response advanced life support paramedics placed one male on a manual ventilator before transporting the two men to a nearby hospital.
It is unclear at this stage what lead to the accident, SAPS are on scene and will be investigating the accident.
