A man was left critically injured this morning when a light motor vehicle and motorbike collided on the N12 west in Alberton.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 07h41 and found the man lying in the middle of the road. An off-duty doctor was found on the scene assisting the biker.
Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.
The man was treated and provided with advanced life support interventions before he was transported toa private hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
