Missing 12-year-old found in Richards Bay

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa following up on leads on a missing 12-year-old female and her 34-year-old neighbor found the duo in Richards Bay in Kwazulu Natal.

Reactions Officers traveled 156 kilometers from the RUSA Headquarters to Corrania Corner in Brackenham – Richards Bay after receiving several tip-offs from residents in the area regarding missing persons Celine Vengadajalam and Seelan Shiva who left their Conurbia homes this morning and were reported missing.

Reaction Officers located home and found Celine & Shiva in the company of extended family. According to Shiva, he left his home to spend Celines birthday with his family after she complained of verbal abuse by her parents. The child turned 13 today and he intended spoiling her on her birthday & seek employment in the same area during the week.

Reaction Officers transported the grade 7 scholar and her neighbor back to Durban.
Officers will be contacting the Investigating Officer shortly to confirm if any criminal charges are preferred against Seelan Shiva.
