KWAZULU-NATAL – The Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime investigation team working together with Umhlali police station members conducted an intelligence-driven operation that uncovered a consignment of drugs worth R154 million.
A multi-disciplinary joint team swooped in on one of the premises at Simbithi Eco Estate in Umhlali on Tuesday, 15 September 2020 several bags of suspected anthranilic were allegedly found concealed in the garage.
Members found additional bags of mandrax powder as well as mandrax tables were allegedly found inside the flat whilst heroine capsules and more mandrax tables were found in the bedroom.
The Operation is in progress and no arrest has been made at this stage.
