Employee injured after striking power cable in Phoenix

A 29-year-old man suffered first degree burns after an electricity cable exploded at a construction site in Phoenix, KZN.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene and on arrival found that the man had suffered burns to his face and arms. He was treated on the scene before being transported to the hospital by ambulance.

According to his colleagues, the man was operating a jackhammer when it struck a power cable.
