Phoenix man murdered by fleeing suspect in KZN

Salesh Premlall (pictured) was murdered by a fleeing suspect who attempted to rob his neighbors home on Quintham Place in Westham, Phoenix.

Premlall (25) was declared deceased at 01:50 by Medics after he sustained a single penetrating wound to his chest. Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the scene after receiving news of the shooting. On arrival, it was established that Premlall and his brother were at their residence when they heard shots being fired from their neighbor’s home.

They noticed two suspects fleeing from their neighbor’s property and decided to pursue the robbers. The deceased managed to catch up to one of the suspects and while attempting to subdue him, the suspect stabbed him in the chest with either a screwdriver or a knife. He collapsed to the ground and died at the scene.

Premlall was employed at a call center and was expected to marry his girlfriend early next year.
