The Commission of Inquiry into Taxi Violence continues on 13 October 2020

The public hearings of the Commission of Inquiry into Taxi Violence in the Gauteng province will continue on Tuesday, 13 October 2020 at 09:00.

The testimony will be presented by the Chief Director for the Gauteng Traffic Police in the Gauteng Department of Community Safety (GDCS), Mr. Thami Mayisela.

His testimony will include, but not limited to the challenges faced by law enforcement including the GDCS to curb violence within the minibus taxi industry in the Gauteng province.

The legal team is in the process of identifying and/or consulting with other witnesses who will appear before the Commission over the next few weeks.
