Counterfeit goods worth millions seized

GAUTENG – A multi-disciplinary operation between members of the South African Police Service, JMPD, SA Revenue Service (Customs) together with the various brand holders resulted in the seizure of counterfeit goods with an estimated value of R32 million at the corner of Von Wielligh and Jeppe Street in JHB CBD yesterday, 4 November 2020.

The counterfeit goods together with two vehicles were recovered from the basement of the old Southern Sun building.

Further investigation is underway.
