Police hunt for Post Office robbery suspects

Port Elizabeth: Police are on the hunt for two suspects who allegedly robbed the Kwadwesi Post Office this morning, Monday, 9 November 2020.

It is alleged that at approximately 09:40 the complainant was returning from the kitchen when she was confronted by an unknown armed suspect. The second suspect remained on the customer service side. The armed suspect forced the other cashiers into the kitchen and demanded cash from the safe. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken. It is unclear if the suspects fled in a getaway vehicle or if they fled on foot. No one was injured during the robbery and no shots were fired. Both suspects were armed with firearms. The complainant’s cellphone was also taken.
