Last night Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to Wembezi road for reports of a collision.
When emergency services arrived they found that 5 vehicles and multiple pedestrians were involved in a collision.
Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found 1 patient in critical condition and 5 patients in serious condition. The patients were treated on scene before being transported to the hospital for further treatment.
Sadly 1 patient sustained fatal injuries and succumbed to their injuries before emergency services arrived.
According to reports from scene, the collision started with a minor incident between 2 vehicles. As the occupants were stopped and out of their vehicles, exchanging details, a third vehicle collided into them, and a further 2 vehicles in oncoming traffic. Authorities are investigating the scene.
