A 27-year-old man was shot while attending a house party in Phase 1, Waterloo near the Waterloo Spar.
The victim was driven to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Headquarters in Verulam by his friends seeking medical assistance for the injured man.
Medics assessed him and found that he had sustained a single gunshot wound to his chest. He was stabilised before being transported to a local hospital by ambulance.
The injured man informed RUSA Members that he was attending a house party when an altercation between him and a group of men broke out.
During the fight, a shot was fired injuring the Waterloo resident.
