Police Minister, General Bheki Cele will on Tuesday 15 December 2020, take the annual Safer Festive Season Inspection Tour to the Mpumalanga Province.
The visit forms part of efforts by the South African Police Service, to tighten the grip on crime this festive season.
Minister Cele, the National Commissioner of the Police, General Khehla Sitole, Provincial Commissioner of the Police in Mpumalanga, Lt General Mondli Zuma and the top management of the South African Police Service will assess the effectiveness of Safer Festive Season plans put in place, to ensure that residents and holiday makers are and feel safe, during the holiday season.
They will also participate in various community awareness engagements and monitor adherence to COVID-19 regulations.
