A 50-year-old man was seriously injured after he was run over by a Nissan NP 200 bakkie on the northbound lane of the R102 in the vicinity of Canelands, Verulam this afternoon (Tuesday).
A passerby contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at 16:58 requesting assistance for the injured pedestrian. On arrival the man was stabilized for serious injuries before being transported to hospital.
The driver of the bakkie was not injured.
