The South African Police Service in Giyani are appealing to community members to assist with information to find a 21-year-old boyfriend of a missing girl, Matimu Xolani Timbani aged 16.
It is alleged that the boyfriend Novite Mathebula from Mavalani village was last seen with her on the day she disappeared, on Friday 25 December 2020 at a local tavern. Preliminary information revealed that the boyfriend threatened to stab the victim before forcing her to go with him to his place of residence.
The victim was last seen on that day and she had since disappeared. During police investigations, the boyfriend denied seeing the missing person and a follow up was made but Novite Mathebula has also disappeared.
It is believed that the Novite Mathebula can assist the police with their investigations and is requested to visit the nearest police station.
