Seven suspects arrested when a possible armed robbery was foiled

The quick reaction and vigilance of the Flying Squad stopped seven suspects in their tracks when a possible robbery of a cigarette delivery vehicle was foiled on the N7 near Table View yesterday.

The members reacted on information that a robbery was planned and the area was searched. This searched led the members to the N7 where three vehicles were spotted and searched. Two unlicensed 9mm firearms were recovered and the suspects aged between 21 and 51 were arrested. They are expected to make a court appearance in Cape Town once they have been charged.
