Two male suspects aged 55 and 50 will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate court on Monday, 18 January 2021 on a charge of contravention of counterfeit goods Act.
On Saturday 16 January 2021 at about 11:30 members of Parkweg Highway patrol, Sergeant Moeca and Const Xaba were on routine patrol when they spotted a suspicious white Panel Van on the N6 Reddersburg road near University of Free State farm.
They stopped the vehicle and whilst searching it, found 70 boxes of Counterfeit Sevilles Cigarettes with an estimated street value of R700 000, 00.
The case will be referred to the Hawks for further investigation.
