Hijacked Vehicle Recovered in Mawothi, KZN

An Isuzu bakkie that was hijacked in Inanda, KZN was recovered by members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) in Mawothi near Phoenix a short while ago.

Reaction Officers were alerted by Tracker at approximately 02:53 that the hijacked vehicle was emitting signals in the Mawothi area. Officers honed in on the signal and recovered the bakkie abandoned on an unpaved road. The rear right tail light and part of the dashboard were stripped.

It was established that the driver of the bakkie was hijacked while dropping off staff in Inanda, KZN. He was driven around for nearly four hours before being released.

The vehicle was handed over to Police for further investigation.
