Three suspects were arrested on 07 February 2021 for theft of copper cable. The arrest came after members of Kimberley Flying Squad reacted to complain about theft of copper cable in progress at Samaria road. With the assistance of Cassandra neighborhood watch, the suspects were found hiding in the veld. Further investigation led the Police to the discovery of the alleged stolen copper cable and breaking implements.
The recovered copper cable is estimated to a value of R15 000.
The three arrested suspects are expected to appear before Kimberley Magistrates Court soon on charges of theft of copper cable.
Police investigation continues.
