Members attached to the Anti-Gang Unit working in the Overberg and police from Grabouw SAPS removed unlicensed firearms and ammunition. The members followed up on information about suspects in possession of firearms that were stolen in housebreaking in Grabouw in January 2021. The information led to the arrest of four suspects aged between 32 and 54.

Five firearms and a rifle with 221 rounds of ammunition were confiscated.

In an unrelated matter, AGU working in Worcester executed a search warrant for firearms and ammunition. A 41-year-suspect was arrested and a 9mm semi-automatic pistol that was reported stolen in Worcester was seized.
