The Police in Tzaneen has launched a search operation to find a missing businessman, Timothy Mashele (39) from Dan Village.
It is alleged that the missing man was last seen on 24 March 2021 while he was in Flora Park in the Tzaneen policing area. Since that day, he never went home and he had since disappeared.
It is alleged that his family received phone calls from him alleging that he was kidnapped and they must deposit an amount of cash and later the kidnappers demanded another ransom cash of money which family members managed to deposit in the missing person’s bank account. The partial amount was then withdrawn at Trichardtsdal.
Police conducted search operations in and around the surrounding areas without success.
