Shots fired by fleeing robbers in Northcroft

A shot from a high-caliber rifle was fired as suspects fled the scene of a home invasion on Whitlen Crescent in Northcroft, Phoenix.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on the scene at approximately 09:19 and found several private security companies in attendance. It was established that five men in a white Toyota Corolla stopped outside the property.

Four suspects jumped over the boundary wall while the driver remained in the getaway vehicle. It is believed that the suspects were disturbed. They dropped a laptop and jewelry as they made their getaway over the boundary wall. At least two suspects were armed with high-caliber rifles. A spent rifle cartridge was recovered at the scene.

An extensive search was conducted for the suspects however no arrests were made.
