Police members attached to Alice OCC arrested three suspects for dealing in drugs during an operation yesterday at about 16:00.
Police received information about a house at Golf Course, Alice used for the sale of drugs. They followed it up and recovered fifteen mandrax tablets, three halves, and thirteen small plastics of TIK. On investigation, they also recovered an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects aged between 20 and 55 were immediately arrested and charged for dealing with drugs.
The trio is due to appear at Alice Magistrate Court soon.
Amathole Acting District Commissioner Brigadier Zinikele Freddie applauded the members for ensuring that when information is shared they quickly respond and ensure that suspects are brought to justice and that recovery is done.
