Gau-Med Emergency Services was dispatched to a crime scene at Norkem Park Police Station.
The occupant was visiting his partner in Birch Acres when he was wounded. He managed to flee from the scene and rushed to the Norkem Park police station for assistance, while his partner ran into the house for safety.
The patient was stabilized and received treatment on the scene before been transported to the hospital.
The circumstances behind the shooting are still unclear and will form part of a multidisciplinary investigation.
