KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport, Community Safety, and Liaison Ms. Neliswa Peggy Nkonyeni visited the community of KwaNgcolosi in Ward 8 under the EThekwini Metro as part of the Provincial Government’s Operation Sukuma Sakhe.
As part of this program, all MECs led by the Premier Sihle Zikalala visited various service delivery projects to assess challenges faced by EThekwini residents.
MEC Nkonyeni visited Emoyeni Reservoir Upgrade Project and then proceeded to West Riding Water Line Project. MEC Nkonyeni also visited a family whose house was severely damaged by the storm. Her visit culminated with a community engagement KwaNgcolosi Community Hall.
The Operation Sukuma Sakhe program will focus on responding to challenges raised by citizens, projects which have significantly changed people’s lives over the past 27 years of our freedom and democracy.
